Pattern Giveaway - NOW CLOSED

Hi Quilty Friends!  We have a serious case of the "Mondays" here at Casa de CQ.  Don't get me wrong - we're all healthy, comfortable, and have a roof over our heads {even if it's infested with a mama cat and her newborns} ... but there have been a lot of little stressors piling up sky-high lately ... and we're in need of a little sunshine

So, imagine by delight when I saw the Sew Mama Sew was hosting a giveaway day!  One of the things that makes my heart happy is hearing about readers' visions for projects using our patterns, so we're going to hop on the giveaway bandwagon and offer up some free patterns!

Here are the details:

  • FIVE free patterns {winners choice!} are up for grabs, so we'll have five different winners.  You can choose from any pattern available in our shop!
  • The Giveaway will be open from now until 5/16/14 at 5:00PM PST
  • FOUR winners will be chosen at random and the FIFTH winner will be chosen based on the best or most creative comment - just for grins!
Winners will be announced, and .pdf patterns will be delivered on 5/17/14  -  please note: patterns are in .pdf format, so you'll need a copy of Adobe Reader to open the file.
  • This Giveaway is open to all US and International entries.  I'll be contacting the winners by email, so if you're a "no-reply" blogger, make sure you leave me your name and email address in your comment.
  • Don't worry if you don't see your comment[s] right away - I've had so much spam that I've had to turn on comment moderation.  I'll be posting them all as they come in. :)

There are THREE ways to enter!

For each entry, leave me a separate comment below and ...
  1. Tell me which Cora's Quilts pattern is your favorite and what fabric line you'd use to make it.
  2. Sign up to follow my blog on bloglovin or tell me that you already do - I will be checking. :)
  3. Follow me on Facebook - if we can reach 200 followers by the end of the giveaway, I'll also post a 15% off Patterns coupon code too!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out some of the other great giveaways happening at Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day!

"Aspen Glow" is my favorite pattern. So unique and eye catching from the first time I visited your site. I'm a reproduction kind of girl, so I would take the pattern shopping for beautiful deep reds, blues, greens, and golds. Making a new quilt for my bed. Something I have been promising to do for years now. But, sadly, I always place someone else's wants and needs before mine. But if I win --- my name goes directly to the top of the list.

  2. I like the Aspen Glow pattern - what a nice quilt that would make. Not sure which fabrics to use - I need to look at all the new design lines coming out this summer.

  3. I'm a new follower on Bloglovin'. Love your Etsy shop, too!

  4. My choice would be Southern Belle and I would make it out of Lexington by Minick & Simpson. A southern Belle quilt made from a fabric named after a southern city. Perfect!

  10. I now follow you via Google. Normally I just click on the Mario Brothers QA or the Spring Sampler QA button on my blog to catch up the blocks that I need to make. I am participating in BOTH QA's because I LOVE your stuff! (I'm Shahann in the Flickr group). Now... just to show you that I'm paying attention, where is that May 12th Spring Sampler block pattern? Huh? Hopefully that will be original enough to win a cool pattern! Thanks. ;)

  11. I love the Aspen Glow pattern. I would like to make it from Batiks, although I don't know a specific line.

  12. Aspen Glow is my favorite pattern on your site. I think I pause every time I get to your home page to admire the one at the top of the page. I would most likely make it in colors similar to the one in the pattern. I would have one constant light blue and a constant light background, BUT I would go scrappy on the brown and the red/whites. I love scrappy quilts. Thanks for the chance to win it.

I would use the same colors, and maybe add some pink, because I LOVE pink! As far as an interesting comment goes, humm, I once baked someone chocolate cupcakes with little fish in them for their birthday. :) Thanks for the giveaway! sarah@forrussia.org

  31. I would like Sugar & Spice. I'm not sure what fabric line I'd use. I love green so I definitely would use green and for a pop of colour some orange would be nice. And to calm it down a cream background. Don't want it to wild! Thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like Aspen Glow and since right now aqua and red is my favorite colors this is perfect. Not sure whose fabric line because I like to mix and match.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Aspen Glow is my favorite. I would use some of my stash fabrics and add to it as needed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Flurry #1306 is my favorite, it so reminds me of all the tumbleweeds in the dessert while growing up on the farm in CA. The animals did not like them so where always on the move trying to get away from them.

  43. Even tho the majority of the posters love Aspen Glow it just looks downright intimidating for this new quilter! Officially out my league. I would have to say the mini pini quilt because the blue green palette already excites me and I THINK I could do the pattern justice (just give me a couple years)! Thank you for the opportunity

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have liked you on Facebook. Also, I would keep the palette as similar to the pattern in minipini...if it ain't broke...lol!

    ReplyDelete
  45. and I am a follower on bloglovin, so glad this giveaway brings me to new blogs!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Stroll, and I'd make it with Joel Dewberry's avian 2 line.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh I would pick Sugar and Spice. I probably would buy something bright in oranges and pinks. Now that I would have all my fabric and pattern, I probably would put it up for retirement or several years down the road as you see I like to get right on things! After a little time passes I'll find it all neatly put away in it's own little zip lock bag and say, when did I get this beautiful fabric and pattern and I will be truly surprised and happy.

  51. Being I'm from the south I do love the pattern called Southern Belle! However I am by no weans a "belle" I'm a gun toting, mud wallowing, fishing fanatic KY redneck! But that doesn't mean I can't be sweet when I want to be! Just don't try to take my sweet tea from me!

  55. Spring Has Sprung, Sweet Lily. Time to Celebrate, take a Stroll & Drift Away In the Jungle to the Cotillion at Granny's Haunted Home. The Harvest Hearth, the Falling Leaves, and the Flurry of the Aspen Glow have passed. Soon, the Surf Birds will appear on the Summer Breezes. Aw, My Southern Belle, though so Pretty in Pink, I would choose to dress you in Favorite Things by Gerri Robinson.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I like the Sweet Lily Quilt. Great giveaway. Not sure what fabric I'd use though.

  64. Oh I would love the Haunted Home wall hanging pattern! Here´s why:

Once there was a little gnome
he wanted to live in a haunted home
you might ask yourself - but why?
...the answer is certainly easy as pie!
    One lovely sunny afternoon
he saw charming Miss Spider - all pretty and bloom
he fell heavily in love - head over heels...
so he thought - "i wonder how she feels?"
He went to the haunted house - with a fly...
he thought she might love this better than pie
and as she opened the door to the house
everything went quiet - even her neighbour, a mouse...
...she looked at the gnome and spotted the fly...
...and thought to herself - "What a darling, oh my!"...
and just like that - in the blink of an eye...
...she fell in love with this funny little guy.
So now the fun little couple is living next door to a mouse
in their very own haunted house!

Phew, you know this is kind of hard if English isn´t your mother´s tongue lol
Thanks for the fun giveaway ;) Hope this puts a smile on your face ;)

  65. I love the Celebrate Wall Hanging pattern and would use April Showers for it!

  66. I would pick "Stroll" and use a navy/green/gray/white selection of Dear Stella fabrics. Or, it could be a good reason to go shopping!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I love your Pretty in Pink quilt pattern & would love to make it in red & white Kona Cotton Solids, or maybe Bonnie & Camille's Happy Go Lucky - maybe both versions! Thanks for the great giveaway, your patterns are fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm a new follower via Bloglovin, thanks again.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Aspen Glow is a beautiful pattern. I'd make it in a variety of batiks.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I really like your "In the Jungle" pattern! It reminds me of the Lost in the Jigsaw puzzles I had when I was younger. If I got this pattern, I would use outdoorsy fabrics (Rock, Wood, Green) to do the block borders as if they were labryinths and then fussy cut animals kind of like in the example for the center. Or maybe applique them! I could even piece small walkway pieces into the "labryinth" borders so that the whole quilt would be a maze! My nephew would love it! Haha, now you've inspired me. I could even piece miniature puzzle blocks for the border!

    ReplyDelete
  75. How funny, I've had your Aspen Glow quilt kit in my shopping cart for months! Love it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Pretty in Pink with all my French General fabrics I've been collecting. I've wanted a star quilt and think I just found it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. We married and moved to Dallas. I didn't know anyone, but my husband had a great aunt and uncle, Wilton and Cora. They became my best friends and loved them like my grandparents. She loved to quilt and taught me a lot and to not get stuck in the little things. Cora just brings warm memories to me.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Such a lot of lovely patterns but the STROLL Quilt caught my eye and I really love that one. If I am not lucky enough to be a winner, I am definitely heading over to buy that one anyway.

  79. I can't decide between Flurry and Stroll!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Flurry is my favorite. I'd probably want to make it in reds and white, not one particular line but those two colors.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I love the Spring Zing table runner. I would try it in pastel prints, but also in bright batiks. Maybe it would nice in Fall colors too?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I am following your blog on blog lovin.'

    ReplyDelete
  83. I'd pick Aspen Glow. I think I'd go with a gray background and a yellow/white/maybe aqua foreground. That is what I saw in my head immediately, probably just because my sister is hounding me for a quilt with that color scheme!

    ReplyDelete
  84. LoVe the STROLL quilt pattern! Think it might be fun to make in a wintry mix of colors........ like 'strolling' in a Winter Wonderland!

    ReplyDelete
  85. This isn't going to win me creativity points . . . but I would do the Flurry pattern in light colors (white, pale blue, grey, maybe some pale purple) to try and make it look like a snowstorm. I might use some batiks (to get a swirly affect, like the wind blowing snow around), but I don't know if that would work. I'd have to ask the quilt shop lady!

  92. I like Grandmother's quilt, I would like to use a Bonnie and Camille collection for this.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I am new to quilting so I easily get intimated with complex looking quilts. I love you Falling Leaves Table Runner. It looks like something I could complete. I also liked your Drift Away pattern. Hopefully as I get better I can do some of you more complex looking quilts. I liked the fabric you used, so I would try and match those.

    ReplyDelete

  106. I'm having trouble picking between Flurry and Aspen Glow, but I think Aspen glow is winning out. It might have been the names that put me over the edge. We had a lot of winter this winter (snowbanks taller than me at the end of the driveway), so I'm not feeling "flurry" right now. Aspen Glow sounds warm and inviting, and something more up my alley. I can not wait for sunshine! (we have a lot of clouds and rain right now).
